Central Texas Home Builders give awards for best houses in 2022’s Parade of Homes | Local News
HARKER HEIGHTS — The Central Texas Residence Builders Association hosted an awards ceremony Friday night to recognize the best houses in the Central Texas area.
The award for greatest total house went to 3080 Pecan Meadows in Belton. The house was designed by Aspiration Property Builders, which is owned by J.T. and Maria Haun, who are both Killeen natives, according to the 57th Annual Parade of Households journal.
The house is shown for $799,000.
The most heartfelt instant of the ceremony was when the affiliation introduced the Don Farek Life span Achievement Award to Jack and Carolyn Barnes. Jack gained the award posthumously.
Colette Marshall, Jack’s daughter, and Carolyn Barnes approved the award on his behalf.
“From humble beginnings as a sharecropper’s son to 1 of the most effectively highly regarded and thriving associates of our neighborhood, Jack was not only a chief of this small business but he was a leader for our family members and this association as properly,” Marshall said.
Barnes’ wife was also regarded for her a lot of achievements and contributions to the affiliation.

Barnes received a standing ovation as she stood up and accepted the award.
